Wassup, y’all, I am G tha Journalist, and I’m a Hip Hop + news journalist from Goldsboro, NC. I recently moved to Atlanta, GA, to further my career and education. (don’t worry, my resume is solid y’all.)
Now, I’m not gonna talk y’all heads off or anything, but this blog is meant to do a few things…
- hold the culture accountable – no more “crabs in a bucket” mentalities
- inform the culture on authentic Hip Hop, whether that’s mainstream or independent – we want music with meaning, with a message
- educate the culture on issues & topics surrounding our experience – we want quality info for readers, not just “viral” material
I’m passionate about all aspects of Hip-Hop culture and have been covering the local music scenes for the last two years. I’m dedicated to staying up to date on the most relevant news and trends, bringing my readers the most accurate and up-to-date information.
I also love to interview artists and learn from other Black experiences through music and reporting.
Hearing our stories and sharing them with y’all, my readers, is key.
I’m always looking for new and interesting stories, so if you know of any, I’d love to hear about them!
I’m overly hyped to provide y’all with fresh content along with a new look for the blog. As a journalist, I am committed to providing an unbiased and independent perspective on the latest sounds, releases, and trends in the Hip Hop world. Again, one of my main goals in this community is to keep y’all informed and up to date on the latest, innovative Hip Hop music, artists, and issues out there.
I really hope y’all enjoy your time exploring this website, and that it helps you to stay connected with each other and the ever-evolving Hip Hop scene.
